Insert the hook under the 2nd V from the hook. Yarn over and draw through the V and through the loop on the hook in one movement. One slip stitch is complete.

Note that the slip stitch does not create much height when worked; it is used mainly to anchor stitches, shape pieces, join circles and for other utilitarian jobs.
