12 Inch Opening?
Submitted by marissa on Wed, 2010-09-01 18:31.OK, I feel stupid. I'm on row six, and I just now noticed that the opening of the skirt will be 12 inches. Well, if I line up stitch 1 with the last stitch, my skirt will be waaaaay bigger than 12 inches. I counted my stitches on row 3, and I have 152 dc. I also made sure make a gauge first, and I was dead on. Is my skirt too large??
(FYI, I've never actually seen how a skirt is put on the bottom of a tree so maybe that's my problem.)
Do my questions make sense or do I need to send you a photo? PLEASE HELP!

Getting this issue
Submitted by blauer on Thu, 2009-11-05 15:38.If I subscribe to the Magazine today will I get this issue or will I have to buy it in the store?
unlikely
Submitted by erin on Fri, 2009-11-06 08:12.It's unlikely that if you send in a subscription now that you will receive the nov/dec issue, given the time for processing, etc. But there's no guarantee, and we have no way of knowing how quickly it will happen.
trouble making tree skirt
Submitted by Subyroorn on Sat, 2009-10-31 21:46.I am new to crocheting and am attempting to make the tree skirt. I am to row 4 and the picture shows 5 double crochets in the second set and the wording says 4 double crochets. can anyone clarify? Thank you in advance
both are correct
Submitted by erin on Mon, 2009-11-02 11:07.It's just the way the written directions are worded. In the written direx, it says to work 4 and then work (dc, ch 2, dc). So there's the 5th dc before the ch.
