Gifty Gloves

No fussy left and right hand instructions here—these gloves are made identically, and one is turned inside out! The slip stitches make this pattern fully reversible.

Getting this glove pattern...

If you are a subscriber, why do you have to pay for this issue just to get this pattern...??!!

Subscriber

Unless patterns are free, they are listed on this site only as a preview to what is printed in the magazine. If you are a new subscriber, you will have to order a back issue. If you have been a subscriber since the latter part of last year, you should already have gotten this pattern in the Nov/Dec 2009 issue. That's just how this site works - not really all that different from what I have found with other fiber works mag's websites...I guess it's just the layout on here that throws people off.

I can't wait to make these

I sent for my copy of the issue because I want to make these gloves - I went to several newstands and crochet supply stores and could not find the issue - where is the best place to get a copy over the oounter?

Joan

if you can't find it locally

You might have better luck just calling 800-865-7240 to order it directly. Borders and Barnes & Noble may have it, too.

How do i get a copy of these patterns shown? (first timer on this site)

click "purchase issue"

If you want the issue where this pattern appears, click the "purchase" link above. Or call 800-865-7240 to order. This is the issue on newsstands now, so you could also look at your local bookstore (we're carried at Barnes & Nobles around the country) or a yarn shop.

Ugh!

I tried to make these, but had so much trouble I gave up. My hands are normal sized, but I went up 2 hook sizes and the wrist cuff was still too small. The model must be the size of a munchin or they used larger yarn and larger hook.
