There was an error on Row 4 of this pattern; the correction is in bold:

Under BRANCES, there is a typo. You DO NOT need to switch to a larger hook. The instructions before Row 1 should read as follows:

perfect fit v-neck, page 86
There was an error in Rounds 3 and 4 of the armhole ribbing. Please note the corrections below in bold:

Submitted by srezer on Sat, 2010-05-01 07:54.Is there any way to get this pattern without ordering a back issue? I looked it up and it will cost me $7 on amazon to order from a seller on there. Can anyone help me out?
we do not sell indidivual patterns

Special Issue - Heirloom Baby Blanket -pg. 80
Submitted by dolphingirldar on Mon, 2010-04-12 14:15.Im in the middle of crocheting this blanket from the Special Issue. I have found 2 mistakes so far. One in round 9 and one in round 16. I think I can correct it to make it work, but I'm not sure that it would be right. If anyone else is having problems with it, I'd like to hear about it.

Submitted by verdancy on Sat, 2010-04-10 14:47.I have worked Row 4 several times now and at the end where it says to "sc in last dc, sc in 3rd ch of beginning ch 3," am I skipping two double crochets in Row 3 that were created at the beginning of that Row 3? Row 3, has me "ch 3, turn; 3 dc in first st," which then counts as a half shell and when I get back to that half shell in Row 4, I keep having to skip two double crochets to get to the "last dc" and then to the "sc in 3rd ch of beginning ch-3". Are there supposed to be two skipped dc to get to that "last dc" in that row? Where am I going awry? Thanks.

Submitted by kjhay on Wed, 2010-04-14 13:15.Hi verdancy,
I think something must be amiss before your reach the end of Row 4. There should be no need to sk 2 dc at the end of the row. You may want to study the stitch diagram on page 96 and/or the "How To" on page 97 to help her figure out what is happening. Notice in the stitch diagram that no dc are skipped at the end of Row 4. Perhaps some earlier sts are being misplaced, the dc7tog is often the culprit (but not always).

Submitted by verdancy on Sat, 2010-04-17 08:16.Thank you, kjhay.
I had noticed the diagram didn't skip anything, and I have never read a pattern that didn't tell you if you were supposed to skip something, but I
was hitting some serious brain block. I did rip out once again, checked the "How To"s, read the "note" on pg. 94, again, and started over and it's working out much, much better! I think I may have added an extra dc in a shell or two and I have goofed on a couple of the ch3's on either side of the shell, and continue to do so, so I check each of them before turning and going on to the next row. The good news is that I think it's going to be *beautiful*. Thank you again for your input; it helped me stop and look again at the many variables that could be causing the issue.

I figured it out
Submitted by elainegl on Wed, 2009-09-16 06:15.I hadn't noticed the extra directions on the right page of the article. It explained it much better with pictures. I was doing the dc7tog in one stitch. That's why there wasn't a dc next to do the sc in.

Submitted by elainegl on Tue, 2009-09-15 19:18.I am confused on Row 2. I understand "With next color, ch 1, turn; sc in first 2 sts, (ch 3, dc7tog, ch 3..... but then I get lost. It then says "sc in next 3 dc). I don't get where those dc are. Are they from the coming shell, so I am to skip the three sc's that are next? It leaves a huge whole when I do that. Please help....
